After two
successful open tournaments in Miami Beach in 2003 and
2005, it was high time for a repeat. Petanque's
popularity is steadily increasing in our country.
But players are
scattered over all 50 states and do not have many opportunities to meet,
mingle and play.
We will play along the waterfront, in
downtown Fernandina Beach, a setting not unlike La Ciotat in the South of France, where
petanque started in
1907. |
